Identifying the Gap..

One of my favorite things to say to my kids is “successful people don’t know everything, they just are willing to surround themselves with those that do”.

So many times we limit ourselves because we don’t have enough degrees or the right degree. Other times, we don’t know enough about whatever subject we embarking on. Yet, in all reality, those who are really successful really aren’t successful because of these things.

Their success comes from stepping out. Getting their feet wet. Testing the waters. Being willing to learn new things.

I know I am preaching to the choir.

You as a business owner already know this.

You took that plunge and got your feet wet and , well, yeah, when you think about it, yeah, you are really successful.

But you know something is missing. You know your company can help meet the needs of so many others.

You just haven’t been able to reach them and you just can’t put your finger on it…

We all know that if a business doesn’t get the word out about their product or service, then the money won’t come in. If the money doesn’t come in,… well, let’s not think of that.

While many entities are demanding your funds, that little pouch of marketing money you have stashed away can be a real valuable tool as you seek to reach more of those clients that haven’t yet found you.

Well as your copywriter, I am here to help you fill in the gap.

We need to look at a few things that may give us the key to those gaps in marketing and find out what is lacking.

In this blog, I want to put some things out there in way of a list. We will want to look at a few things to consider, but I want you to know that I am not going to talk about them in this blog. We will touch on them in upcoming blogs, so you will want to come back. Right now, I am just going to put them out there.

The areas we will look at are these:

*Voice… who are you talking to? Who is your target audience?

*Presentation… am I preparing my marketing tools to meet that audience?

*Delivery… why aren’t these prospects not seeing my marketing attempts? If I’m using twitter, are they on Facebook? Where are they hanging out?

And, yes, there are others, but let’s start basic. Three is a good number.

As a busy business owner or department head, these things are sometimes put on the back burner. Let’s be realistic. You have a lot of work on your plate, so “Enter” me, your copywriter. My job is to free you up so that you can get your product or service ready. Leave the writing to me and I’ll help you get the word out. Together we can find those gaps and close them up quick.

Send me a message or give me a call. Let’s get started
